The Patagonia Photo Tour is an invitation to discover one of the region’s most breathtaking corners. Over several days, you’ll explore mountains, lakes, and ancient forests in carefully chosen locations, selected not only for their beauty but also for the opportunities they provide to work with different lights, climates, and natural compositions.

More than just a photographic journey, it’s a hands-on learning experience. You’ll gain confidence in handling your camera, master natural light, refine your composition, and enhance your images with editing techniques. All this in a small group, with personalized attention, one-on-one reviews, and constant guidance each day. Whether out in the wild on an adventure or sharing a fireside talk at day’s end, the goal remains the same: to help you grow as a photographer and live an unforgettable experience.

  • You can pay for the tour in a single payment or access our pre-arranged installment payment plans.

  • All payments are made in US dollars (USD).

  • To secure your spot, an initial payment of 25% is required at the time of booking. This deposit guarantees your participation and is deducted from the total amount.

  • Available methods will be confirmed at the time of booking.

  • The tour price covers accommodation, internal transportation throughout the itinerary, photography activities, and specialized guides. Flights, personal expenses, meals outside the program, and travel insurance are not included.

itinerary

    • Meeting in El Calafate and 4x4 transfer to the estancia (approx. 5–6 hours).

    • Welcome, group introduction, and first sunset photo outing.

    • Patagonian dinner and planning for the next day.

    • Sunrise at Lago San Martín.

    • 4x4 outing and possible short trek through the canyons formed by the Río Cóndor, with opportunities to photograph condors in flight.

    • Afternoon landscape photography workshop.

    • Dinner and night outing for Milky Way photography (weather permitting).

    • Sunrise in the nearby mountains.

    • Guided hike along the estancia’s trails, with photo stops at waterfalls, peninsulas, Andean forests, and condor nesting areas.

    • Afternoon: free time to practice photography techniques with personalized guidance.

    • Farewell dinner and final night photography session.

    • Sunrise photography at the ranch.

    • Breakfast and return transfer to El Calafate.

  • Important Note: The itinerary is for reference only and may change depending on weather conditions and decisions made on the spot, always prioritizing the best photographic and nature experience.

    Horseback Riding in Patagonia
    As part of the experience, we’ll enjoy a guided horseback ride along Patagonian trails, a unique chance to connect with the landscape from a different perspective and capture distinctive photos. The exact day of the activity will be set according to weather conditions and the group’s dynamics, always ensuring the best possible experience.

    This tour pairs perfectly with a visit to the Perito Moreno Glacier or the town of El Chaltén, either before or after the photo tour.

    Once at Estancia El Cóndor, all that’s left is to immerse yourself in the experience: wild nature, authentic culture, and the comfort of a Patagonian estancia.

The base will be Estancia El Cóndor, a unique location facing Lake San Martín, surrounded by mountains and unspoiled nature.

About the Lodge

Located on the shores of Lake San Martín, the estancia blends history with conservation. The guesthouse features a warm and inviting lounge with wood-burning fireplaces and books, connected to a spacious dining hall. Authentic homemade meals prepare you for a full day of exploration. The rooms are rustic yet spacious, each with its own character; some offer double beds and others single beds, so it’s important to specify your preference when making the reservation.

Upon arrival, you’ll be informed about the planned activities for your stay, which vary depending on weather conditions and the opportunities that arise, ensuring you make the most of the experience at Estancia El Cóndor.

More than 10,000 hectares are covered with native forest. Most outings are guided, with picnics organized along the way. The estancia has its own horses, and the itinerary includes an unforgettable horseback ride that allows you to explore the landscape from a completely different perspective.
